CNC Flattening

The CNC can flatten pieces up to 6 feet wide and 13+ feet long. The finished surface is smooth enough to go directly to a random orbital sander for final finishing.

Pricing

CNC flattening is billed at $120 per hour.

The total cost to flatten a slab depends on several factors, including its size, the amount of warp or twist, the wood species and hardness, and the desired final thickness.

As a general guideline, flattening a slab measuring 2' × 8' with approximately 1/4 inch of warp typically requires about 2 hours of CNC machining, for an estimated cost of $240.
